Strategic Sourcing Manager

Summary

Join Reddit's dynamic team as a Strategic Sourcing Manager, driving high-impact sourcing initiatives and leading negotiations. You will guide internal stakeholders in vendor partnerships, improve Reddit's margins, and ensure best-in-class vendor selection. This role involves managing various sourcing categories, including BPO, Benefits, HR, Sales, Marketing, and Legal. You will build strong relationships with internal and external partners, delivering cost savings and optimizing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience, particularly in services sourcing, and a proven track record of strategic execution.

Requirements

• 5+ Years Strategic Sourcing experience with an emphasis in Services Sourcing categories and some experience with SaaS contracts
• Exposure to high-growth technology or media companies
• Results-oriented customer advocate with an entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrated an ability to innovate, a bias toward action in fast-paced environments, and development of clear, actionable recommendations
• Track record of strategic execution and implementation of ideas, processes, and programs
• Patient leader who can communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
• Proficient in a Procurement System such as Netsuite, Coupa, Zip and willing to learn new systems for Reddit to trial
• Ability to pull financial spend reports and create commodity strategies annually and propose cost savings targets

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to develop and execute sourcing plans that deliver value and create measurable and meaningful cost savings for the organization
• Own all aspects of strategic sourcing including RFx, contract negotiation, category strategy, market intelligence, spend analysis and supplier management
• Craft negotiation strategies and drive the negotiation of agreements in collaboration with stakeholders
• Build strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders and influence stakeholders to align with best in class strategies
• Deliver budgeted savings or year over year cost savings
• Plan, source, and select new vendors, helping to develop Reddit’s vendor strategy. Work with business owners to optimize relationships with existing vendors
• Uncover new opportunities and drive process improvement
