Strategic Sourcing Director

Summary

Join Fictiv, a leading technology company revolutionizing the manufacturing industry, as their Strategic Sourcing Director (US). In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to support Fictiv's US-based manufacturing ecosystem and meet customer demands. You will focus on sourcing and developing manufacturing capacity, managing key manufacturing partner relationships, and leading cross-functional projects to expand Fictiv USA's service catalog. This position requires 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, or business development within custom manufacturing, a minimum BS degree in a relevant field (MBA preferred), and a strong network of relationships with US-based manufacturers. The role involves 25-50% travel and is restricted to U.S. persons due to access to export-controlled technology. Fictiv offers a competitive compensation package and various benefits.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, and/or business development roles within custom manufacturing
• Have a network of strong relationships with agile custom mechanical manufacturers within the United States
• Minimum BS degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business administration
• Highly experienced with contract manufacturer contract negotiation

Responsibilities

• Develop the roadmap and priorities for Fictiv USA to support Fictiv customers’ domestic custom mechanical & higher-level assembly production demands
• Collaborate with Fictiv’s General Manager of USA to regularly evaluate where Fictiv should contract with vs own capacity to meet Fictiv’s customer’s demands
• Source and develop manufacturing capacity (contracted & owned) in alignment with the needs of the business
• Manage relationships with Manufacturing Partners that are key to the success of Fictiv’s customers as they advance from prototyping and look toward production
• Lead key cross-functional projects that enable the expansion of Fictiv USA’s catalog of services
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders at Fictiv to implement the necessary systems and strategic agreements with a small subset of Fictiv’s manufacturing partners to expand upon Fictiv’s capacity to support US-based production, especially for medical device manufacturing and export-controlled applications

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA preferred
• Experience developing and managing supply chains that handle export-controlled technologies
• Experience with M&A of manufacturing operations as a means to expand service catalog and market share
