Summary
Join Gravity's Energy and Decarbonization team as a strategic, action-oriented professional for a 3-6 month contract (with potential for full-time conversion). You will evaluate new technologies, spearhead vendor partnerships, and support the digital product offering. This role requires 2-5 years of experience in strategy, consulting, partnerships, or business operations, strong quantitative skills, and a passion for making a real-world impact. The position offers a remote-friendly option with hybrid/onsite work in San Francisco. You will play a key role in shaping Gravity's decarbonization strategy and work cross-functionally within a rapidly scaling company.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience ideally in strategy, management consulting, partnerships, and/or business operations
- Robust quantitative / modeling skills (Excel is a must, SQL/Python/R is a plus)
- A passion for making a real (i.e., physical) impact on the world and customers
- Proven track record independently developing detailed, meaningful strategic recommendations
- Open minded and a self-starter attitude, with a can-do mentality in a complex, ambiguous environment
- Strong communication skills, ability to present and influence other leaders to drive consensus
- Ability to be a creative problem solver who will leave no stone unturned
- Comfort working with enterprise customers at all stages of their product journeys, and commitment to deliver real value for businesses and the climate
- Impeccable project management skills; you keep the trains running when the schedules change
- Ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to the overall development of a rapidly scaling company
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new technology offerings for our customers: Assess opportunities to recommend cost and carbon saving technologies to our customers that range from building energy efficiency, energy generation and storage, electrification, process improvements, and more
- Spearhead vendor partnerships: (1) Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities for partnerships with implementation, service, financing, and incentive vendors, (2) define a clear partnership strategy with vendor partners, (3) negotiate and execute partnership agreements
- Support digital product offering: Develop product capabilities (alongside our engineering team) to streamline project discovery, qualification, partner selection, technology implementation, and tracking
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at a startup or other fast-paced organization
- Familiarity with energy and carbon reduction projects and an understanding of the climate ecosystem
- Knowledge of industrial and corporate customers' systems, emissions profiles, and/or business needs
- Willing and interested in hybrid work in our San Francisco office
