Summary
Join Autism Speaks as an Events Intern for a 10-12 week remote summer program! This internship offers valuable event planning experience assisting with New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania area events, including walks, partnerships, luncheons, and golf outings. As a member of the development team, you'll gain skills in event timelines, planning, and community outreach. The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor's degree, able to receive academic credit, and committed to a flexible schedule. The position is remote, but requires residing in NJ or Eastern PA with access to transportation for occasional events or meetings. You will report to the Director of Special Events and receive necessary training and supervision.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelorβs degree
- Able to receive academic credit
- Commitment to a flexible work schedule of 20 hours per week during standard business hours
- Superior organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Excellent customer service skills in dealing with internal and external constituents
- Must have the ability to work with a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Social Media Technology
Responsibilities
- Assist with event logistics for events across New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania
- Assist with planning of kickoff events
- Assist in donor, sponsor and volunteer outreach and stewardship
- Assist with School Outreach
- Assist with Area marketing and communications, including email and social media content
- Provide administrative support and perform other job-related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Looking to gain experience in Non-Profit Special Events for future work
