Summary
Join Autism Speaks as an Events Intern for a 10-12 week remote summer program! Gain valuable event planning experience by assisting with the planning and execution of New York Area Events, including Golf Outings, Special Events, and Walks. As a member of the development team, you will develop event timelines, planning processes, and community outreach skills. The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelorβs degree, able to receive class credit, and committed to a flexible 20-hour work week. This remote position requires living in downstate New York (Westchester or New York City). You will receive necessary training and staff supervision.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelorβs degree
- Able to receive class credit
- Commitment to a flexible work schedule of 20 hours per week during standard business hours
- Superior organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Excellent customer service skills in dealing with internal and external constituents
- Must have the ability to work with a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Social Media Technology
- This is a remote position, but applicant must live in downstate New York (Westchester or New York City)
Responsibilities
- Assist with event logistics for events across downstate New York
- Assist in donor, sponsor and volunteer outreach and stewardship
- Assist with school outreach
- Assist with Area marketing and communications, including email and social media content
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Assist with two (2) silent auctions
