Join Valdera as a Supplier Partnerships Lead and spearhead our supplier engagement program. You will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to attract and onboard suppliers, ensuring high-quality quotes for buyers. This involves running outbound campaigns, conducting engaging product demos, and serving as the primary point of contact for supplier inquiries. You will meticulously track supplier interactions, gather feedback, and report on key performance indicators. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a willingness to travel occasionally. This is a ground-up opportunity with regular exposure to senior leadership, offering the chance to shape the future of Valdera's supplier partnerships.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in partnerships, sales, account management, customer success, customer service, or related role either in supply chain software and/or chemical manufacturing industries
- Knowledge of the chemical procurement function and / or the chemical & raw material industry broadly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident in presenting and influencing stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with suppliers
- Capable of creating structured plans, tracking steps, and managing multiple priorities effectively
- Able to understand supplier needs and work collaboratively with other Valdera teams (e.g., operations, product) to communicate what youβre hearing
- Willingness to travel occasionally when the job requires
Responsibilities
- Own and execute a structured supplier partnerships strategy, taking into account different supplier profiles and organizational goals to ensure success
- Run an outbound campaign to source supplier partnership opportunities, identifying leads for suppliers that have had minimal participation so far in the Valdera network
- Conduct engaging product demos and pitches both virtually and in-person (e.g., supplier on-sites, conferences)
- Serve as a primary point of contact for supplier onboarding, inquiries, escalations, and feedback
- Meticulously track supplier interactions: take thorough notes, communicate highlights, and mark follow-ups
- Listen to supplier praises and challenges, and track them effectively, so that main themes from our suppliers are understood throughout the organization to drive improvement
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success (e.g., breadth of supplier reached, new sign-ups, completed profiles, etc.)
- Show a commitment to putting in the necessary time and effort to exceed expectations and achieve ambitious startup goals
- Adapt to global time zones to support customer needs and urgent internal priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Educational background in business, supply chain, engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
