Summary

Join PrimeRx as the Manager, Supplier Relations, a strategic leadership role overseeing and optimizing relationships with pharmaceutical wholesalers, manufacturers, and vendors. This remote position, with up to 40% travel, focuses on enhancing supplier performance, addressing product gaps, and ensuring product availability and competitive pricing. You will leverage data-driven decision-making and strong relationship-building skills to foster long-term supplier engagement and expand product diversity. The role involves using MARKET’s proprietary data sets to drive supplier participation and inform internal decision-making. You will also collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize the utilization of MARKET’s technology capabilities. This role reports directly to the VP of PrimeRx MARKET.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in pharmaceutical supplier relations, purchasing, managed care analytics, healthcare marketplace operations, or pharmaceutical business intelligence
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical purchasing data, PBM reimbursement analytics, formulary strategy, or drug pricing models
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and business intelligence reporting
  • Ability to interpret and commercialize pharmaceutical data insights for internal business decisions and supplier engagement
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills to influence supplier strategy and platform growth
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all suppliers, fostering collaborative and proactive partnerships
  • Develop and implement supplier scorecards to track and improve key performance metrics, including order fulfillment rates, pricing competitiveness, and inventory accuracy
  • Host quarterly business reviews with suppliers to evaluate performance, share data-driven insights, and identify growth opportunities
  • Leverage aggregated dispensing, reimbursement, and MARKET sales data to provide suppliers with strategic recommendations on pricing, formulary access, and high-opportunity product categories
  • Resolve supplier-related escalations (e.g., order delays, discrepancies) while using data insights to proactively address supply chain inefficiencies
  • Ensure suppliers are effectively leveraging MARKET’s technology capabilities, including EDI and API integration, to improve automation and operational efficiency
  • Encourage suppliers to adopt self-service functionalities that streamline communication, reduce manual intervention, and improve buyer satisfaction
  • Use dispensing data at the NDC level to identify high-demand product gaps and onboard new suppliers to fill these needs
  • Analyze third-party reimbursement data to assess PBM payment trends and ensure that suppliers prioritize products with favorable reimbursement rates
  • Identify growth opportunities for suppliers by leveraging historical MARKET sales data, purchasing trends, and competitive benchmarks
  • Expand MARKET’s product catalog by targeting high-volume, high-margin products informed by pharmacy dispensing trends
  • Develop tiered supplier engagement models to retain and grow high-performing suppliers, ensuring MARKET maintains a strong pipeline of competitive product offerings
  • Develop advanced analytics dashboards to provide real-time supplier KPIs, enabling data-driven decision-making for both suppliers and internal teams
  • Partner with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to integrate supplier data insights into broader strategic initiatives
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that data-driven insights are incorporated into pricing models and supplier incentive programs
  • Host supplier-specific analytics workshops to showcase how data insights can enhance supplier performance and business growth on MARKET
  • Ensure comprehensive supplier participation and product availability by aligning offerings with pharmacy purchasing behavior and PBM coverage trends
  • Work with analytics and technology teams to develop a supplier portal where vendors can access customized performance reports, competitor benchmarking, and actionable insights
  • Optimize supplier onboarding workflows, ensuring optimal activation times and streamlined integration into the MARKET platform
  • Implement technology-driven solutions to enhance supplier self-service capabilities, allowing vendors to access performance metrics, pricing benchmarks, and forecasting models in real-time
  • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize the utilization of MARKET’s EDI and API capabilities, ensuring seamless product integration, inventory updates, and automated order processing
  • Develop and enhance self-service tools that provide buyers with real-time order tracking, visibility into order exceptions, and a centralized portal for invoice retrieval
  • Work with the payments vendor to enhance payment convenience for buyers, enabling efficient management of payment exceptions, refunds, and overdue balances
  • Partner with the VP of PrimeRx MARKET to align supplier engagement strategies with business growth objectives
  • Provide executive-level reporting on supplier performance, revenue impact, and opportunities to scale MARKET’s product offerings
  • Represent MARKET at industry events, supplier summits, and healthcare conferences to enhance supplier relationships and showcase MARKET’s value proposition

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or an advanced degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • A Licensed Pharmacist (RPh, PharmD) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with vendor management experience
  • Experience in pharmaceutical marketplace operations, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), or pharmaceutical sales strategy with a focus on supplier engagement and data-driven decision-making
  • Familiarity with supplier technology integration, including EDI, API-based solutions, and automated marketplace tools, to enhance supplier onboarding and transaction efficiency
  • Experience with payments processing, order management platforms, or self-service marketplace tools to streamline supplier and buyer interactions
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance, data de-identification practices, and regulatory considerations for managing pharmaceutical data insights
