Summary
Join PetLab Co., the world’s fastest-growing pet supplement business, as their new Supply Chain Manager! Based remotely in the UK (with monthly travel to London), you will lead tactical and operational execution across the global supply chain, overseeing planning, procurement, and inventory. This pivotal role ensures service levels while optimizing cost and supplier performance. You will manage a team of three planners, acting as a mentor and coach. The ideal candidate possesses 4-6 years of experience in supply chain management within FMCG, eCommerce, or omnichannel brands, along with strong inventory management and ERP system skills. This fast-paced role requires a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative individual.
Requirements
- 4–6 years in supply chain, operations, or planning, preferably in a FMCG, eCommerce, or omnichannel brand
- Strong grasp of inventory management, demand/supply balancing, and PO processes
- Experience working with ERPs (NetSuite ideal), and planning tools
- Intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets; Power BI or Looker a plus
- Experience of managing and mentoring a team, leadership skills required
- Proven experience in working cross functionally in a collaborative manner
- Detail-oriented and analytical, yet action-biased and adaptable in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to work cross-functionally with Ops, NPD, Finance, and Growth teams
- Ability to influence, by getting external partners on side
Responsibilities
- Act as single point of contact for supply planning across all sales channels and all GEO’s
- Collaborate with demand planner to align forecasts and inventory strategies, ensuring planners receive relevant forecasts
- Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels across fulfilment nodes to achieve 98%+ availability
- Evaluate end-to-end supply chain processes
- Optimising efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Implementing best practices
- Accountable for Supplier communication and coordination for all inventory purchase requirements
- Ensuring on-time delivery of all purchase orders
- Monitoring vendor SLAs and lead times and KPIs, with regular business reviews (quarterly)
- Leading month end stock reconciliation process, working with planners and finance team to investigate and resolve any/all discrepancies
- Act as single point of contact for any major stock risks, working directly with our contract manufacturers to mitigate
- Control and manage SKU selection within the customer journey to improve the supply chain planning process
- Support Head of Supply Chain with any sourcing and supply chain initiatives both planned or under feasibility review
- Ensure planners have the right tools and systems to ensure data accuracy
- Audit and optimise the supply chain processes, adapting to business and team’s needs
- Partner with Tech & Data teams to improve reporting automation and KPI dashboards
- Support S&OP contributing to forecast reviews, launches, and constraint planning
- Manage and support a team of 3 planners, acting as a coach and mentor to ensure team development
