Support Engineer

Summary

Join Rockwell Automation as a Support Intern and gain valuable experience supporting customers across various industries. You will troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, manage customer interactions, and contribute to documentation improvements. This internship offers hands-on experience in field service and remote support, providing a pathway to full-time employment through the Intern in Training Accelerate Program. The role may be based in the Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, or Mayfield Heights, OH areas. Interns will receive health insurance, 401k, and paid holidays.

Requirements

• Active enrollment in a four year or advanced degree program at an accredited university
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Support our customers and field personnel with troubleshooting and resolving customer issues in person or by phone, chat, and email channels
• Experience the responsibilities of a Field Service and/or Remote Support Engineers to learn how they approach troubleshooting in their respective area of work
• Manage customer interactions by setting expectations, capturing the issue, resolution and steps taken to troubleshoot, and following up with customers in a timely manner
• Manage electrical/automation projects with direction
• Update and draft documentation with solutions to commonly experienced problems to improve customer satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above with a Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering major in progress
• Experience quickly acquiring new information and skills
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience collaborating with diverse groups, including clients, peers, and managers
