Summary

Join BAO Systems as a System Administrator to manage Linux-based systems, VM infrastructure, and DevOps processes, with a strong focus on implementing security practices. The role involves administering, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers, managing AWS and/or private cloud infrastructure, and implementing DevOps practices. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the smooth operation of our IT environment, supporting both internal and client-facing applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in Linux environments
  • Experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code
  • Experience with security practices, including vulnerability scanning, patch management, and incident response
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers to ensure system stability, performance and security
  • Manage AWS and/or private cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and scaling resources as needed
  • Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Ansible
  • Perform regular security scans and assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate security measures to safeguard systems and data
  • Manage and support the EKS, k8s, and related technologies
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash & Python
  • Monitor system health and performance using monitoring tools and respond to incidents and outages effectively
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve system reliability and implement best practices
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and security practices
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in AWS, Linux, or Security
  • Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker
