As an Automation Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks to optimize engineering processes. You will reduce manual effort and errors by automating repetitive tasks, improving accuracy and efficiency. Your work will involve integrating automation solutions with the Common Data Backbone for seamless data management and collaboration. You will also create automation scripts and tools for configuring hardware and software assets. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with automation techniques, frameworks, and process optimization
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Bash, and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, and Docker
  • Ability to analyze, optimize, and automate engineering workflows for increased efficiency
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation solutions – Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks to optimize engineering processes and minimize manual interventions
  • Reduce manual effort & errors – Automate repetitive and error-prone tasks to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency
  • Optimize process flows – Enhance engineering workflows, reduce processing times, and improve the quality of engineering deliverables
  • Integrate with common Data Backbone – Ensure seamless integration of automation solutions with the Common Data Backbone for data consistency and accessibility
  • Create automation scripts and tools— Develop scripts and tools for automating the configuration of hardware, software, and engineering assets
  • Maintain & improve features – Continuously refine and enhance automation capabilities to align with evolving engineering requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Experience installing, configuring, and working with GitHub, Docker, and Ansible is preferred
