Summary

Join The Motley Fool's Systems Administration team and play a vital role in managing and optimizing the company's diverse IT systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver internal tech solutions, focusing on Windows and Mac administration, Microsoft/Azure management, and SaaS tool administration. Streamline onboarding/offboarding workflows, troubleshoot issues, and improve IT workflows. Proactively share knowledge with the IT support team and contribute to project planning, execution, and reporting. This role requires strong technical skills, collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in system integration projects and a passion for continuous learning and development.

Requirements

  • Top-notch customer-facing attitude, able to support and work with cross-functional stakeholders, not afraid to speak up in a group, or present to a crowd
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, demonstrated through successful implementation of at least two significant system integration projects
  • Good project planning and goal tracking chops. You’re able to juggle planned work and ad-hoc support requests, pivoting on a dime, to help the team succeed in executing both
  • Strong critical thinking skills. You have a knack for spotting patterns and stopping fires before they happen. Always one step ahead!
  • Ability to find and build solutions regardless of prior experience with system and tech - get creative, be innovative, challenge yourself
  • Be a team player who proactively shares - we’re all about teaching each other pro-tips
  • Demonstrable experience working with Microsoft Endpoint Management
  • Thorough experience in Microsoft Suite - Exchange management, O365 management, Azure tools, Intune (syncing, group management, user management, runbooks, powershell commands)
  • Well versed with Mac device management - bonus points for experience with Kandji
  • Experience in administering email platforms and familiarity with administering email security, email protocols and monitoring threats - preferably through O365/Exchange
  • Experience in administering O365 and Google Workspace
  • Working knowledge of automation; workflows, APIs, etc
  • Demonstrable coding and scripting language experience, preferably in Powershell and Python and with hands on experience with GitHub and Terraform
  • Familiarity with AWS - EC2, S3, or other AWS capabilities in the context of SysAdmin operations
  • Well versed in the fundamentals of networking and data transport
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management
  • Insatiable appetite for learning and development. You want to be well-versed in new applications, systems, and investing, and a desire to teach others to boot

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with fellow SysAdmins, and other teams such as Fool IT Experience and Security to optimize processes and tech management
  • Empower, enable and equip your SysAdmin colleagues to perform their roles well - their success is your success
  • Manage our company’s SaaS applications, handling access management and user flow (Okta, SailPoint Identity Now, Microsoft O365, Google, Zoom, Slack, UKG to name a few)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner and follow through with Fools to make sure they have what they need to be successful
  • Regularly evaluate and improve our IT workflows so as to reduce our FIX team’s workload, ticket volume and escalations
  • Ensure our FIX team is set up for success by proactively sharing knowledge or new processes with them before they are put in front of our customers
  • Be well-versed in Fool and non-Fool technologies and always look to improve your skill set, staying up-to-date with industry best practices. Innovation and initiative is key
  • Ensure the team can meet deadlines and deliver on SLA’s for any requests or projects through regular meetings and planning sessions
  • Brainstorm, plan, test, verify and document projects in weekly agile sprints - live and breathe in Trello/Kanban environments - the more details and cards, the better!
  • Deliver regular reports regarding project statuses and upcoming improvements to inform IT teams and celebrate your team's accomplishments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years solid SysAdmin experience with proficiency in areas of work listed above
  • Solid experience managing enterprise level IT systems and SaaS products, including AD & Okta
  • AWS General Cloud Practitioner cert and any other AWS certifications
  • Demonstrable knowledge of implementing and effectively developing SysAdmin support best practices, including strong knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
