Summary

Join SwingDev, the Polish branch of Hippo Insurance, a fast-growing InsurTech company, as an IT Systems Administrator. You will be part of a small team driving systems improvements and automation. Responsibilities include acting as an escalation point for service desk tickets, proactively monitoring systems, maintaining SaaS tools, administering the identity provider system, managing device lifecycle, and supporting cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in a similar role, expertise with identity providers and SaaS platforms, proficiency with endpoint management tools, and a solid understanding of networking and security. Requirements

  • Are available to work a 12 PM-8 PM schedule to provide timely support for U.S.-based teams and address the reactive nature of IT operations and infrastructure needs
  • Have 2+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator or IT Engineering role
  • Bring hands-on expertise with identity providers and SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365, Okta, and OneLogin
  • Are proficient with endpoint management tools like Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, or similar solutions
  • Have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, system security best practices, and role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Have experience managing infrastructure in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or equivalent
  • Can document system architecture, technical processes, and workflows for scalability and knowledge sharing
  • Are familiar with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for task automation
  • Bring problem-solving mindset and resilience to stress
  • Adapt well to ambiguity, learn quickly, and aren’t afraid to dive into the unknown
  • Communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal
  • Can translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders with ease
  • Are self-sufficient and able to collaborate with a global team across multiple time zones

Responsibilities

  • Act as an escalation point for service desk tickets and support requests, resolving technical issues efficiently
  • Proactively monitor systems and deploy improvements across areas like device management, security posture, and operational efficiency
  • Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise SaaS tools and integrations, including Slack, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, and other productivity platforms
  • Administer and optimize the identity provider (IdP) system (e.g., OneLogin), including user/group management, directory sync, etc
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SAML SSO configurations and integrations across internal services and cloud applications
  • Oversee and enhance device lifecycle management for macOS and Windows environments via our MDM platform (Tanium)
  • Support cloud-based infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting VMs and services in Azure and AWS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in IT Support/Helpdesk
  • A background in ITIL or ITSM best practices
  • Experience with compliance frameworks and Zero Trust architectures (e.g., Twingate, Zscaler)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Relevant certifications in systems or platform administration (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Jamf 200+, CompTIA Security+)
