Systems Engineer

Summary

Join Engineers Gate as the first member of the EG IT team in the Asia-Pacific region, responsible for all layers of technology in our environment, from networking to servers and application services.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in CS, EE, or related field
• 5-10 years professional experience in technology related field
• Superb communication skills
• Able to manage projects independently
• Able to learn new platforms and technologies quickly
• Server administration – Windows and/or Linux
• Public cloud (particularly AWS)
• Scripting/programming (Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.)
• Mobile device management controls (MDM/MAM)
• Videoconference and phone systems
• Desktop support across multiple operating systems – Windows, Mac and Linux
• White glove, high-touch user support
• Windows and Active Directory administration
• Email system administration and support
• Security and compliance controls (endpoint security, firewalls, etc.)
• Networking (routing and switching)
• Database administration
• Financial industry experience

Responsibilities

• Join EG’s Systems Infrastructure Team
• Responsible for design, implementation, operation and support for our environment
• Work independently and exercise good judgement to ensure solutions align with company and team precedent and culture
• Perform research independently and propose solutions to problems that arise
• Oversee and assist initial setup for the new office as well as day-to-day in-person support and workstation adds/changes
