Requirements

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and clients
  • Self-Management: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain accountability
  • Technical Proficiency (Intermediate level or higher) in: Microsoft 365 – administration and support
  • Microsoft Security Solutions – management and support
  • Networking – preferably with Cisco Meraki technologies
  • Backup Solutions – ideally Veeam or similar platforms
  • Server Infrastructure – both on-premise and cloud-based, including: Windows Server
  • Hyper-V
  • VMware ESXi
  • Minimum 5 years in technical support roles, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
  • Experience supporting multiple client environments with a strong focus on service delivery
  • Proven ability to respond to alerts, perform root cause analysis, and carry out preventative maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Responding to incidents and assigned problems to meet SLA requirements
  • Provide remote support for client environments
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 and Microsoft security solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across networking, backup, and server infrastructure
  • Perform proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and client environments
  • Act as an escalation point for junior team members and service desk staff
  • Liaise with vendors and manage support cases as needed
  • Maintaining and developing broad, high level technical knowledge and skills across technologies deployed by New Era, through self-study and internal and external training courses
  • Documenting daily activity, through mandated time sheeting system, in an accurate and timely manner
  • Other related duties as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools such as ConnectWise
  • Prior experience in: Responding to system monitoring alerts
  • Performing routine maintenance and system health checks
