Systems Engineer

Summary

Join Preava, a US-based cybersecurity SaaS startup, as a Prague-based Microsoft system administrator/customer support engineer. You will play a critical role in administering internal IT systems, identifying best practices, and providing customer support. Responsibilities include managing Microsoft and Google tenants, developing security and privacy best practices, managing globally distributed infrastructure, testing software products, and providing tier 1 and tier 2 customer support. This role requires a technical degree, 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 for 300+ users, excellent English communication skills, relevant Microsoft certifications, and strong problem-solving abilities. Preava offers a competitive salary ($3,000-$5,000 USD/month), 23 paid days off, annual performance-based bonuses, annual compensation increases, and occasional team meet-ups.

Requirements

• Computer science, IT, or other technical degree
• 5+ years experience administering Microsoft (Office) 365 for 300+ user organizations
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Relevant Microsoft email, identity, security, and/or compliance certifications
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Ability to understand and implement new technologies
• Ability to work remotely most of time, with occasional in-person meeting in Prague

Responsibilities

• Administer Preava’s Microsoft and Google tenants used for internal operations and product development, using DevOps and DevSecOps, where possible
• Develop and document best practices for security and privacy in the Microsoft (Google) ecosystem(s)
• Learn to manage Preava’s globally distributed infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Ansible
• Test Preava’s software products and frequently communicate with the engineering, revenue, and management teams
• Assist Preava’s customers with deploying our outbound email security product, and providing tier 1 and tier 2 customer support
• Own user application provisioning, including through SAML, SCIM and Intune, which you will implement at Preava
• Deploy and administrator a range of Microsoft environments that mimic our customers’ environments for product development and testing purposes (cloud/on-prem/hybrid, etc.)
• Develop and train yourself on, and document best practices within the Microsoft ecosystem
• Onboard Preava’s customers, and provide tier 1 and tier 2 customer support via email and calls
