Summary

Join Blue Water Thinking as a dedicated Project Manager supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. Manage all aspects of labor hour task order management support functions, lead contractor personnel teams, and ensure successful project completion. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills. The successful candidate will manage multiple complex projects, maintain customer interfaces, and formulate task plans. They will also establish technical and financial reports, assign responsibilities to subordinates, and continuously monitor project performance. The salary range is $160,000-$190,000.

Requirements

  • 10 years’ experience as a project/program manager
  • PMP certification or similar certification
  • Master’s Degree (can substitute 15 years of PM experience and a bachelor’s degree)
  • Familiarity with the standard operations of VHA
  • Successful engagement with organizational senior leadership
  • More than six years’ experience supporting a large healthcare corporation or healthcare Government agency
  • Experience in labor hour task order management
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role

Responsibilities

  • Organize, direct, and manage all aspects of contract operational support functions for multiple complex and inter-related projects
  • Lead teams of contractor personnel at multiple locations to ensure timely and successful completion of project tasks
  • Manage and maintain contractor interface with senior levels of the customer's organization
  • Consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules, costs, and contractual obligations
  • Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers
  • Organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, overseeing their work and providing guidance as needed
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate project performance, implementing improvements when necessary
