Tax Assistant Manager

Summary

Join Lifetime Value Co. as a Contract Assistant Tax Manager and support the management of federal and state tax returns, sales tax liability, and filings. This seasonal role involves improving the overall tax process, reviewing various tax returns, assisting with tax estimates, responding to tax notices, and managing third-party tax preparers. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication and organizational skills. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Tax preferred) and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3–5 years prior public accounting or Corporate Tax experience
• Ability to work within a team environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and consistency
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-disciplined in a remote work environment

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough review of S-Corp (1120-S), Partnership (1065), Composite, Pass-Thru Entity and Miscellaneous Tax Returns
• Assist in preparation & review of tax estimates
• Respond to IRS & State tax notices
• Registrations of companies in various state/city jurisdictions
• Ensure that submissions are timely and accurate
• Prepare supporting schedules as necessary
• Assist in the management of 3rd party tax preparers/consultants
• Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies
