Tax Operations Associate

Responsibilities include completing sales tax registrations and licensing for customers, analyzing processes for improvement, supporting performance analysis, and responding to customer inquiries. Requirements

• You have a strong background with at least 2 years of experience in operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must as the team is both in-person and remote

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on the process of Anrok’s registrations and license renewals process and engage with state and local jurisdictions as needed
• Complete sales tax registrations and licensing on behalf of our customers–this requires great attention to detail and communication and follow-ups with customers
• Analyze current processes around sales tax registrations to identify areas for streamlining and/or automation and partner with Tax, Engineering, and Product to implement these improvements
• Support performance analysis and roadmap for ad hoc projects related to sales tax
• Triage and respond to customer inquiries in regards to registrations, licensing, and tax returns

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with government and regulatory compliance is a bonus–in addition to tax registration, this could include payroll tax management, licensing, audits, and grants management
• You excel at taking ownership of complex projects and driving them to completion
• You enjoy engaging with customers and stakeholders and take a proactive position when solving challenging problems
• You use data to make informed decisions and present findings to your broader team
