Summary
Join Bitso's Tax Department as a Tax Senior Specialist! You will be responsible for tax compliance and advisory duties for Bitso's Mexican entities and support tax initiatives across various jurisdictions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand tax implications of fiat and crypto transactions. The ideal candidate possesses 3-5+ years of tax experience in financial services or a Big 4 firm, an accounting degree, and excellent communication skills. You will prepare and file tax payments, provisions, and returns, and assist in various tax-related analyses. Requirements
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in Tax in financial services, Fintech companies or Big4 firms
- Degree in Accounting
- Hands-on experience in Tax Compliance preparation
- Excellent English language proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle different tasks at the same time in cross-functional teams
- Creative thinking and out-of-the-box solutions for complicated processes
- Organized and proactive, takes initiative and prioritizes tasks
- Reliable, trustworthy, high level of integrity with strong service orientation
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file on time monthly Tax Payments (Income Tax and Value Added Tax)
- Prepare monthly Tax Provision (Current and Deferred) including the Effective Tax Rate reconciliation. This task requires alignment across Finance Team stakeholders
- Prepare and file on time the Annual Income Tax Return as well as, when applicable, either the Annual Informative Return on their Tax Situation (ISSIF) or the Annual Statutory Tax Audit report (Dictamen Fiscal)
- Prepare and file on time Annual Informative Tax Returns
- Assistance in the analysis of new products addressing Tax implications as well as ensuring controls and process required for tax purposes will be in place
- Assistance in preparation of Transfer Pricing analysis as well as gathering the supporting documentation required
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for different deliverables, such as internal and external audits, new products Tax analysis as well as recurrent Tax review engagements, etc
- Implementing appropriate Tax controls and policies aligned with internal controls
- Maintain accurate Tax related accounting records
- Establishing and maintaining comprehensive files (paper and electronic) consistent with document retention policies with respect to all aspects of the tax function
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience with different jurisdictions
- Electronic Invoices (CFDIs) knowledge
- Experience with Payments Abroad analysis, double tax treaty application
- Experience preparing and filling recurring VAT refunds
