The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful cloud migrations and experience with IaC, CI/CD tooling, and secrets management. Requirements

  • Have 5+ years in DevOps/SRE roles, with 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity
  • Have a solid understanding of containerizing workloads (Docker), and building orchestration around it (K8S)
  • Have led, or been a core part of a cloud migration of a SaaS platform
  • Are fluent in Cloud core services, networking, IAM, and cost-optimization strategies
  • Have hands-on experience with Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD/Flux, CircleCI), Ansible/Chef
  • Thrive in ambiguous environments where you can create order and scale
  • Have a passion for clean, maintainable, secure infrastructure laid out as code

Responsibilities

  • Define the target state for cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and the path to get there
  • Architect and implement high-availability, fault-tolerant, and secure systems using AWS best practices
  • Lead design of scalable CI/CD pipelines, IaC patterns, and secrets management frameworks
  • Establish DevOps maturity standards (SRE, observability, zero-downtime deploys, etc.) and mentor engineers toward them
  • Act as a trusted advisor to engineering leadership on infrastructure scalability, performance tuning, and cost optimization
  • Guide the re-platforming of legacy services into containers, Kubernetes (EKS), or serverless when appropriate
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Security, Engineering, QA, and Product teams to ensure safe, compliant, fast delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP)
  • Experience with on-prem infrastructure, VMWare/Proxmox, or hybrid setups
  • A strong DevOps philosophy: you see Ops as part of engineering, not just support
