Requirements

  • Currently a Tech Lead with both deep engineering knowledge and people skills
  • Senior+ level engineering knowledge, including but not limited to: software architecture patterns, clean code principles, database management, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines
  • Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring engineering teams
  • Familiarity with management best practices like 1:1s and feedback cycles
  • Experience with Python, Django, and React or similar web and mobile frameworks
  • An ownership mindset, eager to understand and own complex systems and have a big impact

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and lead high stakes engineering projects
  • Make key architecture decisions around best practices, design patterns, infrastructure, and tools
  • Write high-quality, production-ready code and conduct thorough code reviews that increase our code quality quality bar
  • Nurture a team of passionate engineers, pair program and collaborate with engineers to multiply their impact
  • Bring best technical practices and raise the bar for code quality and cultural norms
  • Collaborate our Director of Engineering, CTO, founders, designers, and data teams to understand our users and build the best product possible
  • Lead engineering meetings including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Promote a culture of resiliency, learning, ownership, and impact
  • Implement lightweight processes to help the team scale while maintaining agility
