Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience leading a team as a tech lead and/or manager
  • 8+ years of experience, with a strong background in large-scale distributed systems preferred
  • 3+ years of experience leading and driving large-scale initiatives
  • Proficiency in building scalable infrastructure on the cloud using Python, C++, Golang, or similar languages
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain systems at scale
  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • A passion for self-driving technology and its transformative potential
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • A proven track record of efficiently solving complex problems
  • A startup mentality with a willingness to embrace uncertainty and wear multiple hats

Responsibilities

  • Manage and technically guide a team of engineers, providing support and resources to help them advance in their careers and achieve their professional goals
  • Utilize the latest cloud technologies (GCP/Azure) to architect, implement, and test scalable distributed computing and data processing solutions
  • Take full ownership of technical projects from inception to completion, actively contributing to the product roadmap and making informed decisions on critical technical trade-offs
  • Foster effective collaboration by engaging in team planning, code reviews, and design discussions. Assess the implications of projects across multiple teams and proactively address any conflicts that arise
  • Lead recruitment efforts by conducting technical interviews with calibrated standards, onboarding new engineers and interns, and mentoring them to cultivate a culture of growth, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure the adoption and adherence to best engineering practices, maintaining a high standard of quality in all product offerings
  • Drive strategic planning and vision-setting initiatives while establishing scalable processes for effective execution
