Technical Accountant, Remote - United States

Summary

The Technical Accountant at Vanta will be responsible for accounting research, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of audited financial statements. They should have 5+ years of technical accounting experience, prior experience as a Big 4 auditor and technical accountant at a software company, strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB standards, and SOX/Internal controls, extreme attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be proactive. Requirements

• 5+ years of technical accounting experience
• Prior experience as a Big 4 auditor and technical accountant at a software company
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB standards, and SOX/Internal controls
• Extreme attention to detail and ability to simultaneously research discrepancies and solve problems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Be proactive and have a strong desire for success

Responsibilities

• Participate in close-related activities to ensure complete and accurate financials in accordance with U.S. GAAP/IFRS, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations within the established close timeline
• Research technical accounting guidance and prepare / update accounting memos as needed
• Prepare calculations for journal entries and reconciliations related to internally-developed software, stock-based compensation, and other equity-related activities
• Partner with Accounting management to provide guidance and assistance with ad-hoc projects
• Assist in preparation of audited financial statements and disclosures

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Netsuite a plus
