Summary

Join our Capacity Building and Technical Assistance (CBTA) team as a Senior Analyst and contribute to the development of sustainable debt markets. You will lead and support the delivery of technical assistance projects, conduct market research, and develop reports on sustainable markets. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is crucial, ensuring adherence to CBI standards and taxonomies. Budget management and administrative tasks will also be part of your responsibilities. The role requires a Master's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in investing, financing, policy design, or taxonomy design. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in finance, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related fields
  • Excellent communication (writing and speaking) skills in English and one other language (preferable)
  • Ability to get things done while exercising good judgment
  • Creative and organised, with attention to detail
  • Collaborative and efficient in working with colleagues from other teams
  • At least 5 years of experience in any one of these areas: investing, financing, policy design, taxonomy design
  • Knowledge of finance, capital markets, bond issuances
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solving initiative
  • Self-motivated and flexible
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel for work

Responsibilities

  • Lead or Support in the delivery of technical assistance deliverables which will require a good understanding of taxonomies, international standards or sector criteria for green and transition activities
  • Market research and report development that provides an overview sustainable market, reflects an understanding of the development of the sustainable debt market, the relevant regulations and key trends of financing innovation in sectors
  • Interact and liaise with CBI’s headquarters including Standards and Certification teams to ensure correct application of CBI standards and taxonomies to Technical Assistance deliverables
  • Liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders, when necessary, to ensure the correct application of other regional and local taxonomies
  • Support Programmes Officer on budget management and other governance & administrative tasks
  • Support, if necessary, to deliver trainings and presentations for Technical Assistance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in issuing a bond
  • Previous experience in Technical Assistance and/or project management
