Technical Engineering Leader

Summary

The job is for a Full Stack Engineer at Appfire, responsible for leading a team in the development of products in the ITSM field for Atlassian and monday.com ecosystems. The role requires 5+ years of software delivery experience, leadership skills, knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, understanding of web applications, Cloud architectures, and fluency in English.

Requirements

• Proven record (5+ years) of delivery of multiple complex software development projects or products
• Proven, strong experience in leading development teams using Agile principles and practices, with the proven ability to mentor, motivate, and support the growth of engineers
• Up-to-date knowledge of one of the modern JavaScript frameworks and back-end platforms, or readiness/commitment to master both if you have specialized in back-end or front-end so far
• Truly engineering approach to solving problems. Good theoretical foundations of computer science (e.g. algorithms and computational complexity, OOP) are super practical in the ever-changing landscape of technologies
• Goals and data-driven approach to software product development
• Strong understanding of web applications, including performance, quality, and security aspects
• Excellent understanding of modern Cloud architectures, and practical experience implementing them in either GCP, AWS, or Azure

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of experienced professionals (7 people) in delivering the greatest customer value
• Collaborate closely with Product Manager, UX Designers, and Marketing to shape the product’s future and minimize time to market for every product increment
• Hands-on software development using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue.js, React, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform services
• Ensure the greatest quality of the product, the code, supporting processes & Agile practices (e.g. teach team through code reviews, improve test coverage, facilitate Scrum ceremonies)
• Introduce best coding practices and support the team in implementing new product features
• Take ownership of technical improvements (refactoring, minimize technical debt)

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluent English - verbally and in writing
• Good grasp of SQL and relational databases or BigQuery is a plus
