Requirements

• Be a strong senior engineer with some experience leading small teams
• Consistently deliver reliable, performant, well-tested code
• Have a passion for writing and reading code (up to 75% of the time)
• Take ownership, work collaboratively, and figure things out
• Have a customer-centric attitude and form insights about the HubSpot product
• Enjoy mentoring and coaching other team members in a psychologically safe way, while also being open to learning from them
• Enjoy working with third-party integrations, especially with Social Media Networks (IG, FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, YT, TikTok)

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of engineers
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other Tech Leads to define and share team goals
• Work across teams to resolve cross-team issues
• Take ownership of the team’s on-call health, product reliability, and quality
• Actively participate in setting the direction for the team
• Grow team members by enabling them to take on harder tasks
• Cultivate Software Engineers into Sr. Software Engineers and Sr. Software Engineers into future TLs and Staff Engineers
• Evaluate the performance of team members and provide coaching, guidance, and learning opportunities
