Join SpyCloud's growing Product Marketing team as a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) and play a pivotal role in showcasing our data and API-first products. You will be the go-to expert for creating compelling technical content, including documentation, demos, and competitive insights. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the accuracy and relevance of materials, designing engaging demos, and conducting competitive analysis. You will also support sales and partners with technical enablement, participate in events, and contribute to customer education. Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in a technical marketing, technical writing, solution engineering, developer advocacy, or product-focused role
- Proven ability to create technical documentation and demo experiences; bonus for experience with customer knowledge bases or documentation platforms (e.g., Readme, Confluence, Zendesk, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with APIs and data analysis to develop or support demo environments
- Comfortable synthesizing technical information into compelling narratives for both internal and external audiences
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and project management abilities
Responsibilities
- Own and manage SpyCloud’s customer-facing knowledge base as a strategic platform for customers and internal teams
- Write, develop and maintain technical content such as product documentation, how-to guides, best practices, use case narratives, and integration instructions
- Translate complex product functionality into accessible, actionable content for both technical and semi-technical audiences
- Collaborate with Product Management, Sales Engineering, Data and Engineering, Technical Account Managers, and Customer Success to ensure accuracy and relevance of documentation
- Regularly update content to reflect product updates, new releases, and customer feedback
- Design and maintain compelling, use case-focused demos that reflect common and emerging customer use cases
- Collaborate with Product, Sales Engineers, and PMMs to develop data-rich demo narratives showcasing the unique capabilities of SpyCloud’s products
- Build scalable, modular demo scripts that enable sellers to personalize conversations across buyer personas and verticals
- Leverage APIs and data to build realistic customer scenarios, enabling self-service demo environments or on-demand videos for scalable use
- Evolve SpyCloud’s competitive intelligence efforts – auditing current tooling, identifying gaps, and proposing new methodologies and tools as our competitive landscape evolves
- Lead a regular cadence of competitive updates, battlecards, and win/loss summaries for GTM teams
- Partner with Sales, Enablement, and Product to craft differentiated positioning and support objection handling
- Monitor and synthesize competitor messaging, product launches, customer wins/losses, and industry shifts
- Support sales and partners with technical enablement materials to accommodate new and existing use cases and integrate into ROI models
- Partner with SEs and Enablement to upskill reps on technical differentiators, integration ease, and evolving data types
- Participate in and shape webinars, virtual events, and technical workshops – bringing your voice into external conversations as a subject matter expert
- Join customer and field events (<10% travel) to better understand real-world challenges and champion feedback internally
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cybersecurity products, identity threat intelligence, or data-driven SaaS solutions is strongly preferred
- Experience with competitive intelligence platforms (e.g., Crayon, Klue)
- Experience with demo solutions (e.g., Walnut, Reprise, Coast)
- Experience with support and documentation tools (e.g, ZenDesk, ReadMe)
- Prior exposure to customer journey mapping or customer experience-focused content
- Background in or adjacent to product marketing, with an interest in growing into a PMM role long-term
