This role requires experience managing enterprise-class applications, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and 3+ years of management experience in technical and Linux systems operations. Requirements
- Experience managing and implementing enterprise-class applications and systems
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of management experience in Technical and Linux Systems Operations
- Ability to work comfortably in a systems development environment with concurrent tasks and changing priorities/resources is required
- Experience with managing projects involving application evaluation, implementation, and upgrades
- Experience in hiring, supervising, coaching, and performance management required
Responsibilities
- Own Veeva’s production cloud environment and serve as the leader responsible for its overall availability, ensuring customer success for Veeva’s worldwide customer base
- Ensure systems management responsibilities such as monitoring, backup, patching, security, and change control are being performed and align with industry best practices
- Monitor the team’s ticket backlog, follow up with staff on status, and remove obstacles that may be preventing prompt incident resolution
- Motivate and develop team collaboration opportunities and cultivate cross-training of staff for the support of incoming applications
- Work to foster train-the-trainer methods for sharing knowledge with others in the team
- Provide continuing training opportunities to develop experts within the team
- Be a strong verbal and written communicator for documenting new infrastructure and incident Resolution
- Balance workload among team members as per resources available and be able to step in to execute the same work as per need
- Hands-on troubleshooting and solving complex problems as and when required
Preferred Qualifications
- Worked in a Software company and understands the SDLC process
- Knowledge about 24X7 Support Operations
- Strong AWS and MySQL database knowledge
- Network Administration background
