Summary
Acumatica is seeking a Technical Product Manager with experience in the AEC industry to deliver the Acumatica Professional Services Edition and Acumatica Construction Edition. The role involves collaborating with product leadership, defining and prioritizing product requirements, managing the product roadmap, gaining customer knowledge, leading user testing, and more.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a technical field
- Strong understanding of software development and web technologies
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic Business English is required for this role
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up oneβs sleeves to get the job done
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
- Familiarity with agile/scrum/waterfall development methodologies
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with product leadership to align roadmap to business goals, product vision and strategy
- Define and prioritize product requirements to maximize return, balancing customer needs with business priorities
- Manage product backlog and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of features
- Lead quarterly product planning that clearly articulates themes, priorities and expected outcomes
- Translate technical details into benefits for the user and effectively communicate these to all stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering on new and/or existing feature design, providing detailed requirements for user experience, business workflow and reporting ensuring desired outcome for our customers
- Gain knowledge of customers/users and validate solutions by managing focus groups, community engagement, user groups, and advisory boards
- Lead user testing and feedback sessions to validate product concepts and improvements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- Provide product training and support to internal teams and key customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional and prepare internal stakeholders, partners and customers for new product and feature releases
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance and make data-driven decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the AEC and/or Professional Services industry and understand core principles of finance and operations
- Enjoy spending time in the market to understand how customers customize and tailor our products and apply that knowledge to build innovative solutions
- Experience delivering ERP software solutions
- Experience working with cross-discipline, geographically dispersed teams
- Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy
- Passionate about building software and being a great team member
