Summary
Join Dev Technology as a Technical Project Manager and lead cross-functional teams in delivering mission-critical software for the government. You will manage multiple projects, oversee initiatives from start to finish, and collaborate with various stakeholders. This hybrid role requires one day a month in the Herndon, VA office. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and technical skills, experience in government contracting, and a proven ability to lead Agile projects. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in Java-based software development project leadership are required. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree and 5+ years of leading and delivering Java based software development projects
- Proven ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and customer needs
- Strong communication skills to facilitate alignment across stakeholders
- Adept at building trust and transparency with both clients and internal teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or portfolios in dynamic environments
- Must have experience providing project management in the government contracting services space and dealing with a variety of stakeholders at various levels of project engagement
- Proven ability to lead Agile projects through the full software development lifecycle
- Strong interpersonal skills; excels at building trust with clients and team members
- Experience with Agile collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence or similar
- Ability to prioritize team success over individual recognition
- Fast learner with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new business areas
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams
- Support Requirements Definition, Security, Data, and DevOps groups
- Manage multiple small teams (6-8 personnel total)
- Conduct people management duties such as performance reviews
- Oversee initiatives from inception to completion
- Create and manage delivery schedules and release plans
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Track and resolve program-level issues and impediments
- Facilitate collaboration across internal teams, partners, and various stakeholders
- Participate in program-level communication and reporting
- Translate complex technical topics for both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent
