Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in writing proposals
  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts
  • Strong ability to write clear and concise proposals
  • An understanding of government (RFI/RFQ/RFP) or other complex-contract bids
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, including ability to analyze and interpret business or government data and information
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a goal-oriented team environment
  • Able to work under tight deadlines
  • Experience in writing software, such as Google Suite, MS Word, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher, or Adobe Photoshop
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly agile with exceptional attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Technical Writer (and others as needed) in drafting, editing, and proofreading proposal sections
  • Contribute to the development of compelling proposal narratives, ensuring responsiveness to solicitation requirements
  • Support the creation of proposal outlines, templates, and other supporting documents
  • Conduct research on government agencies, programs, and procurement processes as directed by the Senior Technical Writer
  • Gather and organize information from various sources to support proposal development
  • Assist in the analysis of solicitation documents to identify key requirements and evaluation criteria
  • Format proposal sections and documents according to client specifications and style guides
  • Assist in the insertion of images, tables, and other visual elements
  • Support the finalization and production of proposals for submission
  • Work closely with the Senior Technical Writer and other internal teams as needed
  • Communicate effectively through Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, etc.) to provide updates, seek clarification, and address feedback
