Summary

Join BVNK, a modern payment infrastructure provider, as a Technical Writer to create and maintain comprehensive external documentation for our APIs. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure documentation aligns with client needs and reflects product updates. This hybrid/remote role, based in South Africa or Europe (with a preference for Bulgaria, Serbia, or Poland), requires a technical background and excellent written communication skills. You will test APIs, create visuals, conduct user research, and stay updated on industry best practices. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) or equivalent technical knowledge/experience
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or similar
  • Familiarity with API standards (e.g., REST, OpenAPI) and payment systems (crypto and fiat)
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate documentation
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality external documentation for our APIs, including user guides, integration guides, FAQs, and tutorials
  • Test APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or similar to ensure accurate and practical documentation
  • Collaborate with solutions, development, product or cross functional teams to gather technical information and understand new features
  • Participate in product launches involving API changes
  • Create visuals, diagrams, and examples to simplify complex technical concepts
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to continuously improve the quality and usability of documentation
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in API documentation and payments technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with documentation tools like Markdown, Swagger, or similar
  • Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar
  • Scripting skills to test APIs
  • Experience with maintaining content on developer portals
