Summary
Join the DNC Technology department's Spring 2025 Internship Program for a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Democratic political technology. This Data & Analytics internship runs from January 13th to March 21st, 2025, and offers a flexible in-person, hybrid, or remote format. Located in the US, interns will work 20 hours per week and receive a $3,000 stipend. The program includes project work, team collaboration, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development. The application deadline is December 15th, 2025. Successful candidates will possess strong problem-solving and communication skills and a passion for using technology to support Democratic politics.
Requirements
- Be located in the United States
- Commit to 20 hours per week during the program
- Be 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship
- Meet at least one of the following criteria: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution); Graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution) no more than two years before the first day of the internship; Be a veteran of the United States Armed Forces who possesses a high school diploma or its equivalent and has served on active duty, for any length of time, in the two years preceding the first day of the internship

Responsibilities
- Work on a project or projects designed to support the work of the overall Tech team and your own skills and experience
- Build your skills as a technology professional, in either data or security
- Participate in team meetings and work closely with mentor(s)
- Work on a variety of additional tasks relevant to the team youβre interning with
- Assist the DNC Operations team by attending weekly phone shifts and any mandatory onboarding/offboarding sessions
- Participate in grassroots organizing
- Assist at DNC functions
- Receive personal development training
- Network with DNC leadership and staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Have previous experience in politics, e.g. using Votebuilder, or volunteering for a Democratic campaign
- Have completed at least a semester, ideally two semesters, of computer programming-related courses, OR have equivalent experience
- Have some familiarity with programming or spreadsheet software including Excel or Google Sheets
- Have experience using SQL, Python, and R
