Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5+ years leading large-scale technology engagements
• A strong track record of making sound technical decisions in challenging environments
• Deep understanding of security best practices and experience with security audits
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively
• A demonstrated product mindset, with the ability to translate technical outcomes into business value
• Familiar with agile methodologies
• Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams
• Experience leading teams leveraging Python and TypeScript for scalable and robust applications
• Clear understanding of AI techniques such as agents, RAG, semantic routing and caching
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform and experience with deploying large scale applications in cloud environments
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Appreciation for design and user experience and its importance to the final delivered solution
• If the selected candidate holds a degree in Engineering or a related profession, they must present their professional license

Responsibilities

• Advocate for technical solutions that deliver measurable business value, and contribute to product roadmap planning
• Partner closely with product managers to define technical requirements, translate product roadmaps into actionable development plans, and ensure alignment between technical implementation and product vision
• Present project statuses, technical solutions, and progress reports to senior leadership stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication and presentation skills
• Make critical technical decisions, balancing innovation with stability, security, and scalability, and translate business requirements into technical strategies and solutions
• Drive the integration and optimization of AI/ML capabilities using GCP services (AutoML, Vertex AI Studio), and ensure the platform's infrastructure is robust, scalable, cost efficient and secure
• Lead efforts to improve maintainability, scalability, and extensibility, champion best practices in software development, security, and cloud architecture, and improve the security posture
• Quickly identify critical capabilities, gaps, and architectural roadblocks, and communicate them to the team while providing alternate approaches
• Create detailed architectural blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation that articulate the proposed solutions
• Lead and mentor technical teams throughout the development lifecycle, providing guidance on best practices, system design, and implementation strategies
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to prototype, validate, and optimize models and algorithms
• Conduct technical reviews and evaluations of components, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and performance goals
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the solutions domain, staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends
• Collaborate closely with creative teams and UI engineers to define technically efficient solutions that align with design concepts and user experience goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with ML/ AI technologies such as LLMs, NLP, computer vision, etc
• Relevant certifications (e.g. GCP certifications, AI/ML/Data certifications) are a plus
• Relevant security certifications are highly desirable (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC)
