Requirements

  • Full registration with AHPRA as a psychologist
  • Located in Australia with full working rights
  • Medicare Provider Number and Working with Children Check Clearances or willingness to obtain these
  • Interest in working with children and adolescents
  • Experience and proficiency in providing psychology services via telehealth and an appropriate work from home setup, including a high-speed internet connection
  • A willingness to learn and be part of a team
  • An interest in the role of emerging technology, including VR in psychology practice
  • Has excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to professional standards
  • Understands the NDIS framework and can tailor therapy to meet individual patient needs

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive initial assessments to determine patient suitability for telehealth and VR services
  • Delivering evidence-based therapy (including VR therapy) to achieve patient goals
  • Monitoring and documenting progress, ensuring adherence to professional standards
  • Prepare detailed reports (assessment, progress, and summary) to referring parties or stakeholders as required
  • Collaborating with patients, families, and other professionals to achieve meaningful outcomes
  • Maintaining registration in line with AHPRA requirements
