Test Engineer

Summary

Join Stralynn Consulting Services, Inc., a digital transformation firm, as a Test Engineer specializing in Enterprise Test Data Management (ETDM). You will contribute to a large team supporting federal government applications, leveraging your expertise in ETDM and large-scale enterprise environments. Responsibilities include managing enterprise-level test data, developing ETDM strategies, and ensuring data privacy and security compliance. The role requires technical leadership in both on-premises and cloud infrastructures. You will work with various database technologies and project management tools. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred.

Requirements

• Ten (10) years of experience managing enterprise data management infrastructure, including both on-premises systems and cloud migration efforts
• Knowledge of configuration and administration of enterprise-level data stores, ETL/ELT methods, batch and streaming data transport, and API development
• Strong experience in test data management, including test data generation and production data obfuscation
• Hands-on experience with database technologies (Oracle, SQLServer, Postgres, MariaDB, MySQL, and Azure Database services)
• Experience with program and project management tools (Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Git, JIRA, or Microsoft Project)
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD tools
• Experience in Manual testing, Testing life cycle, API testing, system testing, Regression testing, SQL Database testing, Usability etc
• Experience working with enterprise-level data operations for large organizations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; mastery in English
• Ability to work as a team player and motivate/support other engineers
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Participate in activities related to management of enterprise level test data
• Contribute to overall ETDM strategy
• Handle test data provisioning
• Develop repeatable processes for testing
• Ensure privacy and security compliance
• Address data masking and data obfuscation requirements
• Provide technical leadership in both on-prem and cloud test data infrastructure
• Build test plan and develop test scripts
• Analyze performance test results and identify performance bottlenecks

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related discipline
• Awareness of agile methodologies and experience working in agile projects
