Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Economics or any other Social Sciences preferred
- Candidates in pursuit of a degree are encouraged to apply
- English: Proficient, both oral and written
- Passion for current affairs and news, with knowledge of socioeconomic & political dynamics and a basic understanding of supply chain processes
- Ability to act in a global environment, with good interpersonal skills and understanding of cultural differences and behaviors
- Ability to work in a fluid and fast paced environment and manage uncertainty
Responsibilities
- Monitor current global affairs to detect events, such as industrial fires, geopolitical crises, natural disasters, labor strikes, customs issues, port congestions, cargo disruptions, etc. that can impact supply chain resiliency
- Analyze incoming data streams for relevancy and impact, and report time-sensitive risk alerts for clients based on information obtained from open-source articles, and exclusive and proprietary sources
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experiences like internships in journalism, international affairs, or intelligence monitoring are highly desirable
- Proficiency in other languages is a strong asset (East Asian Languages highly preferred)
