Trainee Designer

Summary

The job is for a Trainee Designer in the Menswear Design department at Reiss, where the employee will assist with creating seasonal collections and support various functions across the department. The ideal candidate has experience working in a design studio, graduated in Fashion Design with knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop, good knowledge of Excel, strong organizational skills, is a team player, creative, has a good eye for color and taste, aligned with Reiss aesthetics, and experience creating tech packs for factories is desirable.

Requirements

• Experience working in a design studio is highly desirable
• Graduated in Fashion Design with great knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
• Good knowledge of Excel and strong organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Creating all relevant details sketches, CAD designs and colourways for specs and presentations
• Responsible for or assisting in the creation of all spec packs
• All correct sketch, measurement and construction detail for best factory understanding
• Researching into seasonal directions and trends suitable for Reiss aesthetics
• Assisting team to meet all deadlines and to deliver protos for pre buy
• Assisting in making the samples ready for the buy
• Assisting the team in design board creation for presentation standards
