Transactional Law Paralegal

Requirements

• Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program, Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• 3-6 years of experience as a paralegal in transactional law, preferably within the payments, fintech, or related industries
• Strong understanding of contracts and experience in contract review and negotiation
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including service agreements, vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other transactional documents
• Assist in maintaining the company's compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations related to payments and financial services
• Support corporate governance matters, including preparing documents for board meetings and maintaining corporate records
• Collaborate with and support the legal team in managing transactions from inception to closing, including due diligence activities
• Provide legal support and advice to various business units within the company
• Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the payments industry
• Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the company's operations comply with applicable legal and regulatory standards
