Join Tint as a Transportation & Logistics Insurance Program Manager and develop, implement, and manage comprehensive insurance programs for the Transportation and Logistics vertical. Requirements

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in Risk Management or Insurance Program Management in the Transportation & Logistics vertical
  • Good network of insurers and reinsurers and deep understanding of insurance principles, products, and regulations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, proficiency with Excel (Google Sheets), and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to successful completion
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in freight & cargo insurance and risk management

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive insurance programs for the Transportation and Logistics vertical in line with organizational objectives, including creating program specification documents, filings, and policy forms
  • Collaborate with insurance brokers and carriers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for insurance policies
  • Cultivate strong relationships with insurance carriers, maintaining regular communication and addressing concerns proactively
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing insurance operations
  • Oversee the administration of insurance policies, including premium payments, renewals, and claims processing
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in the Transportation & Logistics space, staying abreast of industry developments and best practices
  • Ensure alignment across business and technical teams to deliver on business requirements
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of insurance programs to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, clients, and carriers, highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations
  • Identify and attend relevant insurance industry events and program-specific gatherings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with shipping and cargo insurance
  • Prior experience in the Auto Transport industry
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is a plus
  • Experience working in the Transportation & Logistics insurance industry or with insurance-related technologies (e.g., insurtech platforms)
