Traveling Data Specialist

Summary

The job description is for a Traveling Field Data Specialist supporting Army installations' real property portfolio management. The role involves surveying, validating, analyzing, and adjudicating enterprise data for systems of record with the correct real property information. The position requires extensive travel, physical activity, and a willingness to learn the business process, terminology, policies, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of related business process analysis and support experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Customer oriented, motivated, and able to function as part of a team
• Able to multi-task to efficiently meet deadlines with high quality (zero errors) work
• Must be capable of obtaining a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be a citizen of the United States
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Responsibilities

• Must be willing to travel for some extended periods of time
• Must be able to walk/stand for up to eight (8) hours per day to perform job duties
• Willingness to learn the business process, terminology, policies and regulations, and systems requirements for proper execution of field surveys
• Conduct field surveys using laser dimension tools, LIDAR scanning, CAD software, and other data-gathering tools to collect building, occupancy, and space information
• Provide project updates, metrics, communication, and documentation to clients, stakeholders, and the home office
• Provide daily support and interact with customers
• Meet performance goals, work with minimal supervision, discuss requirements with customers, determine a way forward, and interact with customers in a briefing scenario

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior military service is a plus
• Working knowledge of Army Real Property
• Understanding of Army category codes, space utilization process/criteria, or GFEBS/HQIIS
• Familiar with CAD software, previous experience is a plus
• Familiar with LiDAR technology
• Possess strong professional oral and written communication skills
