User Experience and Design (UI/UX)

Summary

Join The Mobility House as a UI/UX Designer and contribute to the zero-emission transportation revolution! Based remotely in Quebec, you will be a key member of the Product Management team, collaborating with developers and customers to create seamless user experiences across our software platforms. You will champion user design, create wireframes and prototypes, lead user testing, and collaborate with agile teams. This role requires several years of experience in UI/UX design for enterprise SaaS, proficiency in design tools, and strong communication skills. Requirements

• A few years of professional experience in user-focused UI/UX roles, with particular emphasis on the user experience of enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS)
• Demonstrated experience in designing a complex product in a simple and intuitive way while incorporating great visual aesthetics
• Experience working in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator or other design/wireframe tools
• Previous work in agile environment & design thinking
• Understanding of Design Systems, their principles, processes and methodologies, including with regards to latest web technologies
• Proven creativity in crafting original and elegant solutions for complex design challenges
• Autonomy to own and drive the discovery, design, buy-in and delivery of projects
• Experience conducting user interviews and leveraging those insights into your design work
• Stellar communication skills (verbal & written) and collaborative approach to work alongside product managers, developers, users and other stakeholders, and receive their feedback
• Organizational skills to juggle a shifting workload with competing priorities

Responsibilities

• Champion the user design and experience of the product, in close collaboration with the Product Manager, including leading all steps of the user experience from research to implementation, to provide an exemplary customer journey
• Create wireframes, user flows, mockups and prototypes to evaluate and further develop your ideas and designs
• Lead discovery & feedback sessions with customers, product managers and other stakeholders
• Plan and coordinate user testing, including the selection of industry tools to manage user data collection and perform subsequent analysis
• Collaborate with product owners and development teams to complete prioritized feature development
• Participate in the daily activities of the Agile teams (scrums, planning meetings, reviews and retrospectives)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing role, ideally working directly with large accounts for design testing and user feedback sessions
• Experience working with an energy or transportation software
• Demonstrated ability to stay current with and apply the latest UI/UX design trends in your work
• Experience using Jira, Miro, and Confluence
• A degree in Design (e.g. Interaction, Graphics or Industrial), UX, IT, CS or Engineering, or equivalent work experience
