Summary

The job is for a User Experience Lead at Rentable, a 100% remote company with a no a**holes policy. The role involves developing and driving the overall experience design vision, owning the design system, working with cross-functional teams to prioritize and spec out new features, conducting user research, and designing new features all the way from concept to finalized pixels.

Requirements

• 8+ years of UX product design with a portfolio showcasing the impact of your work on the business
• Experience working on a small design team and 'doing it all
• Have done in depth work on both UX and UI
• Clear communicator and enjoy working closely with partners across teams, particularly in engineering
• Invested in your craft and have experience with data visualization and interaction design
• Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior designers

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the overall experience design vision aligned with company goals, target audiences, and the product roadmap for ApartmentIQ
• Own the design system, along with a plan for evolutionary implementation to bring the vision to reality over time
• Work with teams across product, design, and engineering to prioritize and spec out new features to build
• Work directly with engineering to ensure a feature gets built, balancing your vision, technical feasibility, and user value
• Design new features all the way from concept to finalized pixels
• Conduct user research to gain deep insights into user behavior, needs, and pain points. Utilize findings to inform and validate design decisions
• Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on designs to enhance user satisfaction
