UX/UI Designer

Summary

Thaloz is seeking a Remote UX/UI Designer with 5+ years of experience to work for a US company. The role involves staying updated with design methodologies, applying global UI standards, estimating design tasks, identifying key performance indicators, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design or related field is required.

Requirements

• Awareness of design fundamentals including the basic components of the design thinking lifecycle, usability heuristics
• In-depth knowledge of basic UX skills such as identifying users, sketching, iterating, wireframing, receiving feedback from peers as well as from users, and implementing changes
• Possess a natural curiosity and ability to interpret impact of emerging standards and technology
• Ability to actively lead design and discovery workshops
• Advanced experience using modern design tools and workflows such as Sketch and InVision
• Familiarity with global design systems and their application in the enterprise is a plus
• Helpful to have some familiarity with Agile work processes and tools that support them (Such as Jira, Confluence, etc.)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, Human Factors, or similar background
• 5 or more years of professional experience
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating a range of artifacts developed in creating a variety of visual solutions

Responsibilities

• Stay abreast of changing UX design methodologies and tools
• Apply global UI standards and design systems effectively
• Estimates design tasks for the purposes of timeline planning
• Identify key performance indicators on a feature-by-feature basis
• Reaches out for design feedback from peers, and iterates as necessary
• Has a clear understanding of current and future tasks, as well as how to manage priorities
• Clearly and proactively communicates plans and status updates to UX leadership, and draws UX leadership into critical product conversations
• Knows how to work well and manage expectations with multiple stakeholders
