Join DECA Games as a VFX Artist and play a pivotal role in enhancing the visuals of our MMO games, collaborating with a dynamic team to design, create, and implement visual effects that bring magic, combat, and the game world to life.

Requirements

• 5+ Years of Game Development VFX Artist Experience
• Demonstrated experience in creating real-time visual effects for video games, with a preference for experience in MMOs or similar online multiplayer games
• Experience with scripting
• Strong understanding of animation, physics, and visual storytelling
• Familiarity with game development pipelines and the ability to work with custom game engines
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and implement a variety of real-time visual effects, including spells, abilities, environment, weapons, vehicles, character effects, and more, to enhance gameplay and immersion
• Collaborate with the art lead and game designers to ensure that VFX aligns with the game's artistic vision and narrative
• Understand our supporting custom toolsets and deliver assets within the confines of real-time engine constraints and programming and animation demands
• Work closely with other artists, designers, and engineers to ensure VFX is seamlessly integrated into the game world
• Review and provide feedback on VFX created by team members to maintain quality and consistency with the game's artistic direction
• Maintain organized documentation and asset libraries for VFX assets, ensuring their accessibility to the team
