Requirements

• Master’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in regulatory compliance within higher education or a related field
• Proven track record of developing and executing compliance strategies in a multi-institutional setting
• Deep understanding of federal and state financial aid laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory frameworks
• Strong ability to build relationships with regulatory agencies and advocate for institutional interests
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring and influencing cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret regulatory changes, advising senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and compliance strategies
• Establish and maintain relationships with key regulatory agencies, advocating for the organization’s interests
• Lead compliance initiatives across institutions, ensuring alignment with federal and state financial aid laws
• Conduct management reviews to assess and enhance regulatory compliance effectiveness
• Provide regulatory training, fostering a culture of compliance and awareness across the organization
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, guiding teams through complex regulatory questions and challenges
• Oversee failure investigations and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with industry best practices
• Represent the organization before regulatory and accreditation agencies
