Requirements
- Masterโs degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in regulatory compliance within higher education or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and executing compliance strategies in a multi-institutional setting
- Deep understanding of federal and state financial aid laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong ability to build relationships with regulatory agencies and advocate for institutional interests
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring and influencing cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes, advising senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and compliance strategies
- Establish and maintain relationships with key regulatory agencies, advocating for the organizationโs interests
- Lead compliance initiatives across institutions, ensuring alignment with federal and state financial aid laws
- Conduct management reviews to assess and enhance regulatory compliance effectiveness
- Provide regulatory training, fostering a culture of compliance and awareness across the organization
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, guiding teams through complex regulatory questions and challenges
- Oversee failure investigations and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with industry best practices
- Represent the organization before regulatory and accreditation agencies
