Video Game Support Specialist

Summary

The job involves supporting customer service operations by evaluating, monitoring, analyzing results, implementing changes, performing language translation and proofreading, and responding to player issues via chat and email. The candidate must have fluent reading and writing skills in English and Korean, experience in translation and/or localization, a passion for the video game industry, strong logical thinking, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to analyze and solve information accurately. Additional preferred qualifications include customer service or help desk experience within an email contact center environment, understanding of games from a gamer's perspective, and team player mentality. The company offers a dynamic and entrepreneurial culture, remote work based in Japan, up to 50,000 yen reimbursement or train pass, and permanent employee promotion after a trial period.

Requirements

• Fluent reading and writing skills in English
• Fluent reading and writing skills in Korean
• Strong logical thinking
• Customer service (nice to have) and/or video game, travel support, help desk, technical support experience within an email contact center environment
• Able to deliver excellent customer service via email and chat
• Able to understand games from a gamer’s perspective
• Capable of analyzing and solving information accurately and swiftly within guidelines
• Possesses a team player mentality

Responsibilities

• Support the customer service operations including evaluating, monitoring, analyzing of results, and implementing any changes
• Perform language translation and proofreading where necessary
• Respond and support players issues via chat and email, including password resets and more

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in translation and/or localization is appreciated
• Passionate about the video game industry
