Video Game Translator

Summary

Join Testronic Localization Team as an English into Ukrainian Language Expert! Translate video game full-titles and updates, sometimes collaborating with other linguists. Occasionally, translate marketing materials. Proofread and edit other translators' work. This freelance, remote position offers flexible hours and a friendly work environment. Experience in video game localization is required, along with fluency in English and Ukrainian. The ideal candidate is a language enthusiast with a professional localization background.

Requirements

• Be a Native speaker of Ukrainian
• Have fluent knowledge of English
• Possess a Language enthusiast attitude, passion about linguistic and cultural nuances
• Have Professional localization experience of more than 1 year (and at least some of translation experience in the video game industry is necessary)
• Agree to work on projects with translation grid applied (we provide fair % to cover the efforts)
• Have Freelance registration and ability to provide invoices

Responsibilities

• Translate video games both full-titles (sometimes together in cooperation with other Linguists) and following game updates
• Occasionally translate marketing texts and materials related to video games
• Proofread and edit other translators’ work to ensure the text is of the best quality
• Provide MTPE (Machine Translation Post Editing) service if the project requires it
• Work in Phrase
• Respond to e-mails, respecting agreed deadliness, quality oriented approach
• Provide invoices
