Virtual Classroom Assistant

Join Data Society Group as a Virtual Classroom Assistant and contribute to our high-quality data and AI training programs. This part-time contract role supports online instructors and students in a virtual learning environment. Responsibilities include managing classroom logistics, assisting with technical issues, and ensuring student engagement. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, organized, and possesses excellent communication skills. We offer courses worldwide and are seeking candidates based in Belgium, Czechia, Japan, Slovakia, or Spain. Compensation is $40 USD per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of professional experience working in a data related field
• Experience with virtual learning environments or learning management systems (e.g., Zoom, Percipio)
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in the language where the course is being taught
• Strong digital literacy and familiarity with online communication platforms
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and troubleshoot minor technical issues
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional remote workspace

Responsibilities

• Assist instructors during live virtual classes by monitoring chat, managing breakout rooms, and supporting technical needs
• Take attendance, track participation, and document classroom activities
• Provide real-time support to participants experiencing technical difficulties or requiring clarification
• Prepare and distribute digital learning materials and assignments
• Manage and update online learning platforms (e.g., Google Drive, Zoom, Percipio)
• Support the administration of online assessments and quizzes
• Support students through highly interactive teaching methods

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in education, customer service, or administrative roles is a plus
